Another week of high school football in Las Vegas. Another week of strong games.

This week’s slate is again highlighted by local teams taking on a who’s who of national opponents, including Liberty hosting top-ranked IMG Academy of Florida in the Polynesian Classic. On Saturday, Faith Lutheran plays in the event at Liberty when it faces Chandler, the best team in Arizona.

Bishop Gorman, still looking for its first win of 2018, hosts Orem of Utah, and Desert Pines is in Reno to face Bishop Manogue.

A few rivalry games are also on the schedule for tonight, highlighted by the “Battle for the Bulls” between Arbor View and Legacy, and “The Banner Game” between Bonanza and Spring Valley. Also, Palo Verde hosts Las Vegas in a rematch of the 2004 state championship game, and Green Valley and Canyon Springs — they always play close games — are also on the docket.
