Never mind that President Donald Trump can’t even spell “counsel.” He said the White House lawyer is not “a John Dean type rat.”
Dean was an American hero, a lawyer with enormous courage, who came forward to tell the truth in defiance of the most powerful people in government: Richard Nixon, H.R. Haldeman, John Ehrlichman, and Attorney General John Mitchell, all of whom went to prison (Nixon would have if he had not been pardoned).
Once again, we see Trump’s true intent: to conceal criminal conduct and to hide the truth. This is clear from his characterization of Dean.
