Donald Trump’s comments regarding the op-ed piece in The New York Times are not surprising.
Here we have Trump referring to The Times as a failing newspaper when he is in fact a failing president. He then refers to the author of the opinion editorial — a staff member he appointed and therefore is not a member of a so-called deep state — “gutless.”
Keep in mind, this term comes from someone who avoided the draft, providing he sees no heroism in real heroes.
Irony? Chutzpah? Take your pick.
