Tourism board OKs $375,000 salary for new CEO

Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority Chief Executive Officer Steve Hill will receive a $375,000 annual contract.

The board unanimously approved Hill’s new salary, which will be retroactive to Sept. 1, when he took over for outgoing CEO Rossi Ralenkotter.

Part of Hill’s contract includes the ability to earn a bonus of up to 40 percent for meeting performance-based goals.

Hill’s salary is a 19 percent increase from his chief operating officer salary of $315,000.

Ralenkotter's salary was $440,400, and he earned a 30 percent bonus for his performance last year. He will serve as a consultant to the LVCVA for 18 months, earning $270,000.
