Suspect sought in stabbing at Lake Mead

Special agents with the National Park Service Investigative Services Branch and U.S. park rangers are investigating a stabbing earlier this month at Stewarts Point in the northern section of the Lake Mead National Recreation Area.

At 5:46 a.m. on Sept. 7, the Lake Mead Interagency Communication Center received a call reporting a man had been stabbed near Stewarts Point and Blue Point Bay, according to the park service. The suspect fled on foot, officials said.

The victim suffered critical injuries.

A man described as a person of interest left behind a black backpack with yellow-green trim, officials said.
