Authorities say a 10-year-old boy who was pulled by passers-by from a burning car after a high-speed vehicle crash in Las Vegas died after six days in a hospital.
The Clark County coroner said today that Zion Jimenez died Friday at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center.
He was critically injured Sept. 15 in a Nissan Altima that slammed into a Toyota Camry at a southeast Las Vegas crossroads.
Police say the driver of the Nissan, 23-year-old Jonathan Mora, fled the scene of the crash and is being sought on criminal charges.
Police say an injured 20-year-old passenger also was rescued from the Nissan, and the 62-year-old driver of the wrecked Toyota Camry also was seriously hurt.
