It’s official: President Donald Trump loves Sen. Dean Heller, R-Nev. He declared as much in Las Vegas last week. Heller then took the stage and returned a gushy speech of his own.
Their bromance wasn’t always this lovey-dovey. Heller showed a bit of backbone by calling out the president over the video in which Trump admitted to grabbing women by their genitals. Trump flared at this rejection and threatened to campaign against Heller. Heller buckled and has since “rubber stamped” everything Trump has asked for, even kowtowing to the president on a crucial vote that could cost thousands of Nevadans their medical insurance.
Trump now boasts he “can always count on” Heller’s vote.” It also appears Danny Tarkanian wants in on the love affair.
From health care to handing out huge tax benefits to the rich, Republicans have shown they couldn’t care less about working families. November is just around the corner. We need independent voices in Washington who will serve the needs and interests of the men and woman of Nevada.
