My mother was a schoolteacher before I was born, and I am now a senior citizen. In all my years of living in five states, I have never heard of fundraising to pay teachers. That’s ridiculous.
We took a vote to supplement our schools with money raised through the sale of marijuana. Where’s the accountability for that money? Where’s the audit? Where’s the transparency?
Now, pre-election, is the perfect time to demand answers. We all know the schools need the money and we certainly don’t want the children ripped off. If we band together and demand answers, our schools will be better served. We don’t need to increase property taxes, as we already voted to supplement the schools with marijuana sales. All we need is honest accountability. So let’s get busy and find the schools’ money!
