The Clark High football team passed for two touchdowns today in a 14-0 victory against Rancho.

One week after dropping 13 passes in a season opening loss, Clark made clear improvements.

“Just execution. We wanted to clean up some things and just catch the ball,” Chargers coach Ricky Pickens said.

Aaron Holcomb had a short touchdown pass to Kenneth Cason in the first quarter. In the fourth quarter, My’Quel Johnson connected with Latroy Howard for a touchdown of about 20 yards.

In the loss, Rancho showed it’s on the upswing, Pickens said.

“Leon (Evans, Rancho coach) has them going in the right direction. They played hard,” Pickens said.
