Metro: Suspects used homemade ‘flamethrower’ during Las Vegas robbery

Las Vegas police are looking for pair of suspects who they say used an improvised aerosol can flamethrower during a robbery in a central valley store last month.

Metro Police say male and female suspects entered the business about 4:45 p.m. Nov. 8 in the 700 block of North Rancho Drive, near Bonanza Road, and stole merchandise using the improvised weapon, police said.

No injuries were reported, though police said the suspects used force and caused fear.

Metro described the suspects as a black woman and black man in their 30s. The act was apparently caught on video.

The medium-build man wore a black, gray and red sweatshirt, black pants and black and white shoes, police said. The thin-build woman wore a red sweatshirt-style dress, multi-colored socks and white slip-on sandals, police said.
