A Las Vegas pastor has been arrested on allegations that he sexually assaulted a young child over the past several years, according to Metro Police.

Bramwell Retana was booked today at the Clark County Detention Center, jail logs show.

Retana, 44, faces one count each of sexual assault on a child under 14, kidnapping with sexual motivation and luring a child with a computer to engage in a sexual act, child abuse, and seven counts of lewdness with a child under 14, police said.

The allegations were reported to police on Thursday. Police said Retana is a pastor of a congregation located in the 2000 block of Michael Way, near Lake Mead Boulevard.

“Detectives believe that due to his position there may be additional unidentified victims,” police said in a news release.

Further details on the arrest or the allegations were not immediately available.

Bramwell — who uses the name Bernardo Retana — founded the Oasis De Paz congregation along with his wife in their home in 2004, according to the church’s website.

The couple, who was ordained in Phoenix in 2002 by the International Holiness Church, eventually opened the small church, located on 2020 N. Michael Way, according to the site.

The church offers weekly services, but also meetings at congregants’ homes throughout the valley, according to the website. “In this group, you have the opportunity to learn about God, worship together and meet new people in a more personal way.”
