As it readies for its big New Year’s Eve grand opening at Bellagio, the Mayfair Supper Club hosted some private “friends and family” events over the weekend, including a Friday night soiree with a very special member of MGM Resorts International’s “friends and family” group. Lady Gaga brought a large group of friends and fellow performers from her headlining residency production at Park MGM to check out the food and full-scale entertainment offerings at Mayfair, certainly a solid training session for the upscale new nightlife experience taking over the former Hyde lounge and nightclub space. Onstage at her Saturday night “Enigma” show at Park Theater, Gaga once again teased a possible extension of her Las Vegas residency. She opened one year ago at Park MGM under a two-year deal and spoke very early in her run about tacking on another year, possibly keeping her on the Strip through 2021.

Also on Friday night, actor Taye Diggs attended hit comedy “Opium” at the Cosmopolitan during a night out in Vegas and went backstage after the show to pose for photos with the spaced out crew of the OPM 73.

Legendary Las Vegas headliner Frank Marino (“Divas Las Vegas,” “An Evening at La Cage”) announced on Saturday that his guest-starring gig as Joan Rivers in “Legends in Concert” at the Tropicana will continue indefinitely. Marino has been performing on the Strip for 35 years and “Legends” is the longest-running show, clocking in at 37 years, so it’s an obviously great fit. Marino started performing in the celebrity impersonation spectacle in September with plans for a two-month run, which was extended through the holiday season. He was planning to produce a new version of “Divas” for an early 2020 opening, but things have gone so well at the Trop, he accepted the “Legends” producers' invitation to stay on. Marino brings Joan back to the show tonight before taking a break until February.

On Sunday night, the new guy on the Vegas Golden Knights caught one of the most popular Vegas shows. Chandler Stephenson was spotted at “Absinthe” at Caesars Palace and posed for a pic with the Gazillionaire after the show.
