The Feb. 4 letter “Maybe it should be Pelosi in 2020,” suggesting that the speaker of the House might be Democrats’ best bet to retake the White House, caused me to almost choke on my coffee.
Not only is Nancy Pelosi getting up in years at age 78, but I am certain that Republicans would be happy to campaign against a cafeteria Catholic from a sanctuary city.
The Democrats could hardly pick a more polarizing figure. Many people dislike — if not hate — Pelosi and her brand of politics.
As a lifelong independent, I would love to see it happen.
I sure could use a good laugh!
