Cause of house fire under investigation

Officials are investigating the cause of a two-alarm fire today at a house in the west valley, according to the Clark County Fire Department.

Nobody was injured, officials said.

The fire was reported about 12:50 p.m. in the 4800 block of West Maulding Avenue, southwest of McCarran International Airport in the Enterprise area.

Firefighters from the county and the city of Las Vegas found heavy flames and smoke coming from the single-story house, officials said. Because of the size of the blaze, a second alarm was requested for more trucks and firefighters, officials said.

Crews had the fire largely out within about 15 minutes, officials said. A damage estimate was not released.
