What a difference a week makes.

Last week, a rare Las Vegas winter storm dropped several inches of snow in Southern Nevada, most notably in the northwest valley. Roads became so slick in the first snowfall in a decade that the Clark County School District canceled classes.

But less than seven days later, temperatures hit 70 degrees today at the Las Vegas airport, according to the National Weather Service.

It was the first time temperatures reached 70 or higher since Nov. 15.

The temperature is projected to reach the low 70s on Friday, according to the service. The high will be in the upper 60s over the weekend.
