In recent weeks, outdoor Las Vegas home security cameras have caught a man walk up to porches, climb on a blue bucket and yank the surveillance equipment.

For the alleged mischief — which began sometime in late 2018 — Russell Fowler, has been dubbed by Metro Police as the “Blue Bucket Bandit.”

And now investigators are asking for the public’s help in finding the 41-year-old suspect, who allegedly struck at least nine properties near Lake Mead and Rampart boulevards, police said today.

It wasn’t clear how investigators identified Fowler, but they also are accusing him of package thefts.

To facilitate its search efforts, Metro today released a video compilation of two of the incidents and a photo of Fowler. They also broadcast a mug shot from a previous arrest.

Anyone with information on Fowler’s whereabouts is asked to call Metro at 702-828-8577. To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or crimestoppersofnv.com.
