A man was killed by a shotgun blast in a central valley alley Thursday during a dispute over a motorcycle, according to Metro Police.

The suspect, Kayla Biron, 25, went on the lam after the shooting, which was reported about 3:35 p.m. Thursday in the 200 block of West New York Avenue, near Wyoming Avenue and Industrial Road, police said today.

Medics took the gravely wounded victim to University Medical Center, where he died, police said. His name has not been released, pending notification of his family.

The man was picking up a motorcycle that “had been passed around among several people, and there was an ongoing dispute between the victim and Biron,” police said.

He was pushing it down the alley when Biron confronted him, police said. The two exchanged words before Biron pulled out a shotgun and fired, striking the victim once, police said.

Biron took off on foot and apparently got into a gray SUV, which was seen fleeing the area, police said.

A warrant for her arrest on a count of murder was issued today, according to Las Vegas Justice Court records.

Police released a 2016 booking photo of Biron in an effort to find her.
