Metro Police today identified a suspect they allege fatally stabbed a woman Thursday in the bathroom at a park near Flamingo Road and Jones Boulevard.
Liliani G. Pinto, 33, was booked today at the Clark County Detention Center on a count of murder, jail logs show.
The stabbing occurred about 2:15 p.m. Thursday in the 6200 block of West Flamingo, police said. The victim died at the scene, Lt. Ray Spencer said.
Spencer said the victim was a Hispanic woman in her early 30s, who may have been homeless. She was stabbed multiple times during a fight with another woman, he said.
Witnesses at the park led police to a neighborhood behind the park, where they found the suspect, Spencer said. Investigators believe the victim knew the suspect, he said.
