I feel privileged for having had the opportunity to serve. I am a naturalized citizen and during the Vietnam war, I was drafted into the Army. I was an infantryman and faced combat in innumerable instances between 1967 an 1969; I was even there for the Tet Offensive.
If serving our nation is a privilege, having the opportunity to serve at a different and even higher level should be considered the highest privilege.
