UNLV Runnin’ Rebels head coach T. J. Otzelberger applauds a play as the Rebels take on the Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons at the Thomas & Mack Center Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019.

UNLV continues adding to its sizable 2020 recruiting class, as 6-foot-9 forward Reece Brown committed to the Rebels on Friday.

Brown, a New York native who is playing his senior year at Loomis Chaffee (Conn.), made the announcement via his Twitter account:

Brown is an athletic wing who could end up being a two-way player at the college level. A consensus 2-star prospect, he visited UNLV last month and chose the Rebels over his other finalists, Rice and Elon.

The incoming 2020 class now includes five high-school players, with more possibly to come. In addition to Brown, the Rebels will also welcome Donavan Yap, Nick Blake, Jhaylon Martinez and Isaac Lindsey. Junior college guard Nick Fleming brings the total to six incoming recruits; Division I teams are allotted 13 total scholarship players.

Head coach T.J. Otzelberger has also secured one commitment from the Class of 2021 in local prospect Keshon Gilbert.

With the early signing period now open, UNLV's 2020 class is ranked No. 25 nationally by recruiting service 247Sports. The Rebels may not be done yet, either, as Bishop Gorman forward Mwani Wilkinson remains a top 2020 target.
