Letter to the editor:

Global warming will do us all in

According to the latest numbers issued by the United Nations, the human population is expected to increase from 7.7 billion to 10.9 billion by the year 2100. This represents a growth of 3.2 billion, or over 41%, in just 81 years.

All actions that can be taken by humanity to prevent global warming from causing major catastrophes in the very near future will fail due to the predicted increase in the population. Unless humanity immediately stops worldwide population growth, major catastrophes will happen in the very near future.
