Updated Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2019 | 3:08 p.m.

A suspect involved in a standoff with SWAT officers at an apartment complex east of the Strip has been arrested, according to Metro Police.

Police announced the arrest about 2:45 p.m., but did not provide further details.

The incident, which started as an assault with a deadly weapon, led to the suspect barricading herself inside a unit in the 400 block of Twain Avenue, police said. Negotiators were on scene.

Officers had shut down a stretch of Twain, between Paradise Road and Palos Verdes Street, which was expected to reopen soon.
