Homicide detectives were probing the death of a motorist who was shot and killed Monday morning as she commuted on an east valley road, according to Metro Police.
After she was struck multiple times, the woman was able to drive about a quarter-mile before she crashed into a wall on Lake Mead Boulevard, near Lamb Boulevard, police said.
Officers responded to the scene about 5 a.m., police said. The woman, who was heading east at the time of the shooting, died at the scene.
Neither a motive nor a shooter had been identified as of Monday evening, police said in a news release.
