Arbor View students cheer prior to the start of a game against Centennial at Arbor View high school, Friday, Sept. 27, 2019.

Sophomore Kyri Shoels had six catches for 140 yards and a touchdown today for the Arbor View High football team in a 54-0 victory against host Bonanza.

It was a bounce-back game for the four-time defending Northwest League champion Aggies after dropping their conference opener last week to Centennial.

“They understand the importance of all division games,” Arbor View coach Matt Gerber said. “They needed to bounce back and we jumped on them fast.”

Arbor View completed 13 of 14 passes for 312 yards and four touchdowns, including two receptions for 95 yards and a touchdown from Daniel Mitchell. Jaedyn Jackson and Darius Williams also had touchdown receptions, while Mitchell rushed for a score.

Arbor View had two interception returns for a touchdown, from Trent Whalen and Ferrari Busby.
