Some letter writers are stuck in the past; nuclear energy is the way of the future. Nothing can stop the forward advance of human progress. Delay, obstruct, slow-walk? Yes, of course. But stop it? Never.
America can't consult the generations far into the future who will be affected by our actions today and in decades to come. The only practical proxy for that is to guarantee, as best we can, that their health, safety and environment will be protected.
