It is 1955 and I have just graduated from high school.
Dwight Eisenhower is president. Nobody would have believed that after 64 more years of “progress,” there would be weekly mass shootings throughout our land in schools, shopping centers, etc.
It is past time for us, the everyday citizens, to turn this country around. The people we have elected to office have proven that they are not up to the job.
