2 of 23 accused Aryan Warriors face death penalty in Las Vegas

Prosecutors in Las Vegas are seeking the death penalty for two accused white supremacist gang members who have pleaded not guilty to killing a fellow Nevada state prison inmate more than three years ago.

The announcement came Wednesday during a court appearance for 36-year-old Anthony Williams and 34-year-old Tarik Goicechea in a sweeping criminal racketeering case against 23 alleged White Aryan gang members.

Williams and Goicechea are accused of stabbing state prison inmate Andrew Ryan Thurgood to death in a cell at High Desert State Prison in February 2016.

The two were among 19 defendants who pleaded not guilty in state court to crimes including murder, drug trafficking and identity theft.

Three co-defendants are sought on arrest warrants.

A defendant currently in Ely State Prison will be arraigned next week.
