Station Casinos reopened three poker rooms today, playing eight-handed with plexiglass barriers between players.

The rooms at Red Rock Resort, Boulder Station and Sante Fe Station got back into action at 9 a.m. and will remain open around the clock, according to the locals casino operator.

Gov. Steve Sisolak in mid-March ordered casinos statewide closed to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

Casinos were allowed to start reopening June 4, and while most Station properties are back in business, their poker rooms remained closed until today.

“Things might look a little bit different when players return, but the the competition, winning and fun won’t change,” said an announcement on the Station Casinos blog.

Besides the plexiglass barriers, other virus precautions include mandatory face masks for players and employees, enhanced cleaning and temperature checks.

Boulder Station has 10 tables, Sante Fe has 14 and Red Rock has 20, according to the blog.

Information about other poker room reopenings will be shared as soon as it becomes available, the company said.
