LETTER TO THE EDITOR:

Trump too close to our enemies

President Donald Trump has made it clear he welcomes the help of foreign governments to win re-election in 2020, but Trump’s relationships with America’s enemies — such as Russia, North Korea and Saudi Arabia — go way beyond election interference.

Saudi Arabia is home to the terrorists who attacked America on 9/11. It is home to the terrorist who killed American service members last month in Pensacola, Fla. It is home to the regime that murdered and butchered Jamal Khashoggi, a Washington Post journalist and American resident. Yet Saudi Arabia continues to receive American military aid and has been getting political cover from Trump since the day he took office.

Kim Jong Un threatened America with nuclear annihilation. Trump then met with him, professed his love for him and let him continue his nuclear build-up.

Russian military intelligence officers indicted by the FBI for 2016 election interference have been accused of trying to interfere once again by hacking into the Burisma gas company in Ukraine, to dig up or plant dirt on Trump’s 2020 political opponent. Russia acts with impunity because Trump is Vladimir Putin’s enabler.

Trump’s closest friends are America’s worst enemies. The people must protect our country from these enemies by voting Trump out of office.
