The Stadium Swim amphitheater at the under-construction Circa resort will include a massive video screen for watching sports, six pools, two spas and a high-tech ultraviolet light water-cleaning system.
Circa, set to open Oct. 28 in downtown Las Vegas, released details and renderings today of the pool complex, which will offer panoramic views of downtown and the Strip.
“We’re building Stadium Swim to be unlike any pool in existence today and to reinvent the Vegas pool party, 365 days a year,” Circa CEO Derek Stevens said.
“I can promise there will be no better location in the world to watch a big game than at Stadium Swim – even better than at the game itself,” Stevens said. “Beyond sports, it will be a great place to catch sun and listen to music, and I believe it will be a destination experience that inspires trips to Las Vegas.”
The centerpiece of the complex is a 135 foot wide, 41 foot tall video screen for major sporting and other television events, according to a news release. There will also be a DJ booth featuring local artists and two swim-up bars.
Poolside food service will be available, with menu highlights such as lobster corndogs, fruit nachos and the Stadium Dog, Circa’s twist on the bacon-wrapped Sonoran hot dog.
The pools and spas will each feature ultraviolet light sanitizers that destroy pathogens, bacteria, viruses and contaminants and greatly reduce chlorine use, the release said.
Along with Circa guests, those 21 and older staying at sister properties D Las Vegas and the Golden Gate will be able to access Stadium Swim for free and can enjoy the venue an hour before it opens to the public.
Those not staying at one of the hotels can get in by paying an entry fee, which was not disclosed.
Circa is the first resort being built from the ground up in downtown Las Vegas since 1980.
