Suspect sought in downtown Las Vegas shooting

Metro Police were looking for a man suspected in an early morning shooting in downtown Las Vegas that left a victim wounded.

The shooting was reported about 1:40 a.m. on First Street and Ogden Avenue.

The victim was walking with a large group of people when a dispute erupted between the group and the suspect, who pulled out a gun and opened fire, police said.

The victim, who suffered a single gunshot wound, was taken by car to an undisclosed hospital, said police, who did not provide information on his medical condition.

The gunman, who fled in a dark-colored Dodge Challenger or Toyota Camry, was caught on surveillance video police were using to try to identify him.

He was described as a white man in his 20s, who stands about 6-feet tall and weighs about 200 pounds, police said. He wore a black T-shirt with a multi-colored design that read “GO OFF,” black shorts, and black shoes with white soles.

His arms are covered with tattoos, and he also has a tattoo on the left side of his neck, police said.
