Recent events resoundingly amplify the disdain this president has for the rule of law or any degree of respect for our Constitution.
Americans, regardless of their political stripe, should declare a patriotic “thank you” to Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman upon his retirement, for upholding his oath as an officer in the armed forces in defense of our Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.
Regardless of his testimony’s impact upon the impeachment inquiry Vindman’s courage, honor and commitment to his oath and to our country, coupled with the attendant risks he brought to his career and family, stand in stark contrast to the odious Roger Stone.
Stone is a convicted felon whose life’s work has been spent in the toilet of politics swimming among the detritus, a vainglorious gun for hire who opted to degrade and disrupt the 2016 presidential election process with dirty tricks to obliquely influence its outcome.
True to hideous form, this president commuted the prison sentence of his criminal friend while vilifying the character of an honorable career Army officer and Purple Heart recipient. Any veteran worth his or her enlisted chevrons or officer’s insignia should be disgusted by this abominable commander in chief’s lack of honor, and vote for anyone but him in November.
