Man, woman fatally shot inside vehicle

A gunman opened fire on an SUV early this morning, killing the driver and his passenger in central Las Vegas, according to Metro Police.

The victims and the shooter, who was on foot, had exchanged words after the SUVpulled over near McWilliams and North Eastern avenues, police said.

As the vehicle drove away, the gunman fired into the vehicle, striking the driver and his female passenger multiple times about 12:30 a.m., police said.

The SUV crashed into a wall in the 700 block of Eastern Avenue, near Charleston Boulevard, police said. 

The man died at the scene, while the woman died at University Medical Center, police said.

The shooter, who was gone when officers arrived, was wearing all black. No other description was provided, and no arrests have been made.
