Mandalay Bay and the adjoining Delano Las Vegas hotel will reopen July 1, according to a news release today from owner MGM Resorts International.

The properties have been closed since mid-March, when Gov. Steve Sisolak ordered all nonessential business closed to help slow the spread of the coronavirus. Casinos got the go-ahead to start reopening on June 4.

“We are pleased to bring more employees back to work,” Bill Hornbuckle, MGM’s acting president and CEO, said in a statement. “As we continue monitoring business demand, and with safety at the forefront of our planning, we are able to open additional resorts and build our workforce, which is so critically important to our community.”

MGM’s Bellagio, MGM Grand, New York-New York and Excalibur are open now. Luxor will open June 25, and the Aria will also reopen July 1.
