An elderly man killed an elderly woman and then tried to take his own life Tuesday afternoon in a Henderson neighborhood, according to city police.
Henderson Police responded to a report of two dead people about 3:20 p.m. in the 500 block of Via Baglioni, near Lake Mead Parkway and Olsen Street.
Officers discovered a dead woman, 66, and a man, 67, “clinging to life,” police said.
Police said the man, who was taken to a hospital in unknown condition, apparently killed the woman and then had a “failed” suicide attempt.
It wasn’t clear how the woman was slain.
On Saturday afternoon, North Las Vegas Police were dispatched to another apparent homicide-suicide involving an elderly couple. Officials later said a gun was found near a 68-year-old woman and a 70-year-old man.
