Dr. Fermin Leguen, acting chief health officer of the Southern Nevada Health District, speaks during a news conference on the coronavirus (COVID-19) at the Sawyer State Building Friday, Feb. 28, 2020.

A second person who tested positive for coronavirus disease in Clark County has been identified as a woman in her 70s who is hospitalized in isolation, according to the Southern Nevada Health District.

Two adults who were close contacts of the woman have been asked to quarantine themselves for two weeks, officials said.

The woman had traveled within Nevada before developing symptoms of the disease, officials said. They did not say where the woman had traveled or how.

The first coronavirus patient identified in Clark County, a man in his 50s with underlying health conditions, remains hospitalized in serious condition, officials said.

Two other men have tested positive for coronavirus in Washoe County and have been quarantined at their homes, according to officials in Northern Nevada.

One of the men is believed to have been exposed to the virus on the Grand Princess Cruise ship, and the other had traveled to California, officials said. A total of 21 people on the cruise ship have been confirmed to be infected with the virus.

All four patients in Nevada preliminarily tested positive for the disease. The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention confirms the presumptive test results.

The virus has infected 600 people in the United States, and at least 26 have died, most in Washington state.
