A fire at this home in the 8000 block of Bermuda Beach Drive did about $10,000 in damage, according to Las Vegas Fire & Rescue officials.

A family that heard noises coming from their garage opened a door to find a fire that did about $10,000 damage before it was extinguished, Las Vegas Fire & Rescue officials said.

Nobody was injured, officials said.

The fire was reported about 3:15 a.m. today in the 8000 block of Bermuda Beach Drive, in the area of Lake Mead and Rampart boulevards, officials said.

The garage of the two-story house was fully involved in flames, officials said. It took firefighters about 10 minutes to contain the blaze, officials said.

Damage was confined to the garage, officials said.

The family told investigators they woke to noises and thought someone had broken into the house, officials said. When they opened the door to the garage, they discovered the fire, officials said.

The cause of the blaze could not be determined, officials said.
