Sen. Rand Paul’s recent statements about Sweden exhibit a fallacious way of arguing that simply should not be tolerated in someone who touts himself as a doctor and a leading political figure in our country.
To promote Sweden’s approach to the pandemic, Paul cherry-picked statistics that would support his contention that Sweden had done the right thing in not practicing social distancing.
In fact, Sweden’s death rate per capita is among the highest in Europe, not coming even close to the other Nordic countries. Shame on Rand Paul.
