Metro investigating shooting of man found dead on sidewalk

Metro Police say they don’t have any suspects in the death of a man found on a sidewalk over the weekend with a gunshot wound.

Metro dispatch was alerted about 7 a.m. Saturday to an unresponsive man on the sidewalk near the 2300 block of Lexington Street, in the area of Carey Avenue and Martin Luther King Boulevard, police said.

Officers located the man, who was declared dead at the scene, police said. Detectives have not identified any suspects or motive, police said.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the man’s name.
