Two people armed with knives and refusing to follow officers' orders were taken into custody today, ending and hours-long standoff, according to Metro Police.

The incident started about 10:50 a.m. when Metro received a call about a domestic disturbance in the 4200 block of Tattersall Place, police said.

Officers located two men near Lamb and Las Vegas boulevards, police said. Both had knives and were refusing to follow commands, police said.

The situation was treated as an “open-field barricade,” and special tactics teams were requested, police said. Metro announced about 3:15 p.m. that the men were in custody.

During the incident, Lamb was closed from Las Vegas Boulevard to Alexander Road, police said.
