Piff the Magic Dragon, Jade Simone and Mr. Piffles are set to return to the stage at the Flamingo on October 29.

Piff the Magic Dragon is set to return to live shows with an audience at Flamingo Las Vegas on October 29. The comic magician will perform at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Sunday and tickets for all shows will go on sale October 23 at 10 a.m. at ticketmaster.com.

Known around the world for his appearances on “America’s Got Talent” and “Penn & Teller: Fool Us,” Piff has performed at the Piff the Magic Dragon Theatre at Flamingo for the last five years in one of the Las Vegas Strip’s most popular magic shows, accompanied by his showgirl partner Jade Simone and magic dog Mr. Piffles.

But his show will hit the stage at the larger Flamingo Showroom this month, a room with a normal capacity of around 700. The classic Vegas venue will accommodate audiences of 250 guests per show or less following new state protocols for live entertainment event capacities.

The Flamingo Showroom has recently been the home of “RuPaul’s Drag Race Live” in early 2020 and musical residency shows from Paula Abdul and Donny and Marie Osmond in late 2019.

Piff’s show had been sharing the smaller theater, formerly known as Bugsy’s Cabaret, with the “X Burlesque” revue. That space previously held audiences of around 200 people, depending on the show and seating arrangement.

Piff has been developing new material for his show and is planning to welcome a guest star “Las Vegas headliner” during each performance.

"This has been a tough time for all the great performers in Las Vegas, not to mention the audiences and the city itself,” Piff said in a statement. “We’re going to follow applicable guidelines and take the recommended precautions, and if we can give people a good time and they leave a little bit happier than they arrived then I think it’ll be worth it. Also, the dog's run up a huge gambling debt during lockdown so I have bills to pay.”

Over the course of the pandemic and the shutdown of Vegas shows, Piff won the TBS comedy competition series “Tournament of Laughs,” competing against prominent comedians such as Jeff Ross, Margaret Cho and Gilbert Gottfried, and teamed with David Copperfield during an appearance on “AGT.”
