Burglars are breaking into newly built homes in the Las Vegas area and stealing appliances, according to Metro Police.
The thieves are targeting new, unoccupied homes that are ready to move into, police said. They break in through a rear or side window and load the appliances into a truck parked in the driveway, police said.
The incidents have been happening on weekend evenings throughout the valley, police said.
The suspects have used an older, silver Ford F150 pickup truck with an extended cab and an unmarked, white box truck, police said.
