Remember how Hillary Clinton, in the 2016 presidential debates, predicted that if Donald Trump were elected president, he would be a puppet for Vladimir Putin, would eliminate health care by undermining the Affordable Care Act and would never voluntarily produce his income tax returns?
Now, though small in stature, we have lost a legal giant in U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. She excelled as a lawyer and jurist despite the challenges of being a wife and a mother. This reminds me of the comparison between the dancers Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, and the realization that Rogers had to do everything Astaire did, only backwards and in high heels.
Clinton also told us that elections have consequences, and political pundits are opining that the death of Ginsburg may spell the death of the ACA. We also hear pundits say that four more years of Trump may spell the death of our democracy.
Please get out and vote to save our democracy and the consequences of four more years of Trump.
