Nevada on Saturday reported 752 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases but a regional health agency said for the second straight day that hundreds of the cases were delayed from previous months.

The state' also reported nine additional virus-caused deaths as Nevada's pandemic totals rose to 307,704 cases and 5,332 deaths.

The Southern Nevada Health District in Las Vegas said it reported 700 of the additional cases reported Saturday. “After review, 471 of the newly reported cases are attributed to delayed electronic laboratory reports dated prior to Feb. 3," the agency said in a brief statement.

Health officials on Friday also cited delayed reporting when Nevada reported 637 additional cases, the largest daily increase in about a month. Of those additional cases, 264 were from a backlog of electronic lab reports from before March 26, the district said.

All nine of the additional deaths reported Saturday were from Clark County, which includes Las Vegas.
