The Colorado River is low on its water distribution to Clark County. Another dry, hot summer is in the offing. But still, the water district will not lower the lawn watering to five days a week in the summer, from six days. Greenery will not die off.
Each of our families can help solve climate change by having the speed limits on surface streets and freeways lowered by 5 mph. Then perhaps even the speeders will go slower. Less air particulates to heat us up means better gas mileage as prices go up. Fewer accidents mean lower insurance rates. It is simple and Clark County can be a pacesetter for the nation.
