Pedestrian critically injured in Las Vegas Boulevard crash

A 20-year-old pedestrian sustained serious injuries this afternoon when she was struck by a car on Las Vegas Boulevard on the north Strip, according to Metro Police.

The impact occurred shortly before 1 p.m. south of the Sahara Avenue intersection, police said.

The Las Vegas woman was trying to cross the boulevard when she was hit by a 2019 Nissan Sentra, which was heading south.

She was taken to University Medical Center with “substantial” injuries, police said.

Neither the California motorist nor his passengers were hurt, police said. Impairment was not suspected.
