Suspect sought in stabbing at Las Vegas hookah lounge

Metro Police are searching for a suspect in connection to a fatal stabbing at a hookah lounge on the city’s west side on Sunday.

Officials said in a statement that officers were dispatched at approximately 11:48 p.m. to investigate a stabbing that occurred inside the lounge in the 8000 block of West Sahara Avenue, near Buffalo Drive, according to a news release.

The victim was transported to University Medical Center by a private vehicle and succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

An investigation indicates the victim was involved in a physical altercation with another man and was stabbed, according to the release. The suspect fled prior to police arrival.

The identification of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office, police said.
