Metro seeks suspect in weekend shooting death

Police are searching for a suspect in connection with the fatal shooting of a man Saturday in a central valley alley.

At 9:48 p.m., Metro Police received a report of a shooting in the 1100 block of Toni Avenue, near Tropicana Avenue and Maryland Parkway, according to a news release. Officers located an adult male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds when they arrived at the scene.

Medical personnel transported the victim to Sunrise Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police said the suspect and motive are currently unknown. The investigation is ongoing.

The identification of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
