Country music superstar Garth Brooks speaks to the media on July 9, 2021, at Allegiant Stadium.

Before he took the stage at Allegiant Stadium in July, Garth Brooks said he would love to come back to the Las Vegas Strip to do some more intimate, acoustic shows like the concerts he performed at Wynn years ago. Now he’s getting his wish. “Garth Brooks: The ONE Man Show” will hit Dolby Live at Park MGM for two nights, February 4 and 5, with limited seating available and tickets on sale December 22 via Ticketmaster. No photography or video will be allowed at the shows, which will take place the same weekend that the NFL Pro Bowl is set for Allegiant and the NHL All-Star Game will occur at T-Mobile Arena. Adele will be in town then too, singing at the Colosseum. A lot going on.

Speaking of the biggest names in country music, Shania Twain announced the dates for the final leg of her “Let’s Go!” residency at Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort on Monday, then she turned up onstage at the Theater at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas Monday night to congratulate fellow Canadian Mark Shunock at the 8th anniversary event of Mondays Dark. “I had a wonderful time and everybody loves you,” the country queen said to Shunock before they briefly discussed her music program in local schools and she sang a bit of “From This Moment On.” Mondays Dark (which I am involved with as a volunteer board member) was unable to have a live anniversary production last year due to COVID and sold out the Theater at Virgin for this week’s bash, which also saw incredible performances from Skye Dee Miles, Franky Perez, Travis Cloer and dancers from the Strat’s “iLuminate” production. Twain will wrap up her second Las Vegas Strip residency at Zappos on September 10 and tickets for her 16 newly announced concerts in June, August and September go on sale December 17. She just finished a successful run during NFR week and will be back in February.

More new show announcements this week: Psychic medium Matt Fraser will visit the Summit Showroom at Venetian on February 12; Hardcore rock band Beartooth will play Brooklyn Bowl at the Linq Promenade on April 2; The Doobie Brothers will headline an eight-show limited engagement at Zappos Theater from May 13 through May 28; Jack White will bring his Supply Chain Issues tour to the Chelsea at the Cosmopolitan on May 29; And Nick Cannon’s “Wild ‘N Out” live tour will stop at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on June 25.

Moving to a different kind of showbiz: On Saturday, Wynn Las Vegas hosted a star-studded red carpet and global world premiere of “1883,” the new Paramount+ series and prequel to “Yellowstone.” Among the creators and cast members at Wynn were Taylor Sheridan, Sam Elliott, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, Billy Bob Thornton, Isabel May and LaMonica Garrett. The inaugural event was the first collaboration between Wynn and 101 Studios, a partnership that seeks to re-establish the connection between Hollywood and Las Vegas. The also recently launched “Official Yellowstone Podcast” is presented by Wynn and was recorded at the resort’s studio.

BurlesQ” at the Alexis Park Resort celebrates its first anniversary with a special performance and after party on December 19. Admit VIP Entertainment ambitiously launched the burlesque variety show in the off-Strip resort’s Athena Showroom last year and it continues to roll right along with performances Friday and Saturday at 9:30 p.m.
