The Las Vegas Aces take on the Chicago Sky during their WNBA game Friday, August 9, 2019, at the Mandalay Bay Events Center.

The 12,000-seat Las Vegas Strip venue that has been home to the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces, the Latin Grammys, the NHL Awards and other major events is getting a new name. Mandalay Bay and MGM Resorts International announced today the company has entered into a multi-year naming rights agreement with Anheuser-Busch that will rechristen the Mandalay Bay Events Center as Michelob Ultra Arena.

“We’re pleased to welcome Anheuser-Busch, a company we have great admiration for, as our naming rights partner at Mandalay Bay,” said Chuck Bowling, the resort’s president and COO. “As the leader in the entertainment industry, we look forward to working with the Anheuser-Busch team in our shared commitment to providing guests unforgettable entertainment experiences.”

The partnership will include different bars and lounges throughout the arena and Anheuser-Busch will sponsor various events and programming through the duration of the agreement.

“Las Vegas is one of the world’s most exciting sports and entertainment destinations and Mandalay Bay is regularly in the midst of all of that excitement,” said Matt Davis, head of U.S. Sports Marketing for Anheuser-Busch. “As the world returns to traveling and enjoying entertainment, we look forward to all of the events to come at the Michelob Ultra Arena.”

The arena completed a wave of renovations in 2019, including seating upgrades, signage, food and beverage options, locker rooms and lighting systems. The Aces began play in the Mandalay Bay Events Center on May 27, 2018. Currently the next event on the venue’s calendar is the Psycho Las Vegas music festival in August, but the Aces are expected to open the 2021 season there sometime in early summer.
